EASLEY, S.C. -- QuikTrip opened its newest South Carolina location on Nov. 6. The store, located at 4855 Calhoun Memorial Highway in Easley, is the 20th in the convenience store chain's new Carolinas division, reported the Pickens Sentinel.
"This has been the most aggressive and quickest growth for a new division in QT history," said Mike Thornbrugh, manager of public and government affairs for QuikTrip. "Our store development team and operations department have shattered all expectations, and they are not slowing down."
The Tulsa, Okla.-based c-store chain has another 17 stores under construction in North and South Carolina. Its rapid growth in the area has allowed it to hire approximately 400 people, according to the report.
"As we continue to expand, the opportunities to grow and succeed with QT are tremendous," Thornbrugh stated.
QuikTrip currently owns and operates 638 stores in 11 states.
