QuikTrip

Contribution Request Procedures:

QuikTrip receives numerous requests for contributions from very deserving agencies. In order to facilitate these requests and focus donations to selected causes, QuiKTrip has established guidelines and procedures. The first and largest recipient of QuikTrip donations is local United Way organizations. The company matches dollar-for-dollar all employee contributions. The remainder of the contribution budget is available to eligible 501 ©(3) nonprofit organizations, based in the communities where QuikTrip operates; Tulsa, OK, Kansas City, MO, Kansas City, KS, Wichita, KS, Des Moines, IA, Omaha, NE, Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, St. Louis, MO, Atlanta, GA., Phoenix, AZ.

These dollars are dispersed to programs and initiatives that address the following focus areas:

  • Initiatives that have the ability to demonstrate measurable (positive change) in our communities with regard to at-risk youth.
Programs, agencies and educational efforts that discourage negative behavior in youth and encourage positive behaviors.
  • Innovative early childhood and preschool programs that help disadvantaged children combined with parent education programs and ongoing evaluation and support for the families.

The majority of the balance of contribution funds are allocated in an annual contribution committee meeting held in the summer. We accept proposals January through May for review at the annual contribution meeting.

Typically excluded from consideration:
  • Personal assistance for individuals including grants, loans, or subsidies for basic services.
  • Religious, labor, fraternal, athletic, or political causes.
  • Organizations receiving support through the United Way for requests other than pivotal, innovative approaches to support focus area needs.
