Welcome to QuikTrip! QuikTrip Corporation (together with its affiliates and subsidiaries, “QuikTrip”) is committed to providing the highest quality service and integrity to its customers, and appreciates and respects its customers’ privacy. This Privacy & Security Statement describes how QuikTrip collects, uses, shares and safeguards customer information, and enables eligible consumers to exercise their privacy rights through a Data Privacy Request. How QuikTrip Shares Information

QuikTrip does not sell, rent or lease customer information to third parties. QuikTrip may share customer information with third parties for QuikTrip’s business purposes or as permitted or required by law. These third parties may only use customer information as needed to provide services to QuikTrip, and are required to maintain the confidentiality of and treat customer information in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Examples of third-party providers with whom QuikTrip may share information include:

  • Third party manufacturers of products sold by QuikTrip, for promotional purposes or otherwise
  • Shopping/delivery website hosting partners facilitating online/mobile order placement and shipping/delivery of online/mobile orders
  • Third party service providers for Digital Properties account registration or verification purposes
  • Payment processors for in-store and online purchases and financial institutions for credit approval
  • Marketing and communications firms engaged to communicate via email or postal mail with QuikTrip customers on QuikTrip’s behalf
  • Trusted partners providing strategic services or conducting statistical analysis on QuikTrip’s behalf
  • Law enforcement agencies related to criminal investigations/prosecutions
  • Other third parties in special circumstances to defend QuikTrip, its business or property, to enforce this Privacy & Security Statement, or as otherwise permitted, requested, compelled or required by law

Choices Regarding How QuikTrip Uses This Information

QuikTrip commits to complying with applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to consumer rights over their personal information. Only you or your authorized agent may make requests related to your personal information. To submit a request as an Authorized Agent on behalf of a consumer, you must submit your name, address, email, and phone number as well as the name, address, email and phone number of the Consumer you are making a request on behalf of. As an Authorized Agent, you will also be required to certify that you have the right to make this request on behalf of the Consumer. QuikTrip will use the provided Consumer’s information to search our systems and determine if we have information about the Consumer. If QuikTrip locates information about the Consumer, we will fulfill the request to disclose and/or deidentify the Consumer’s Personal Information.

Opt-outs for postal mail and email

If you do not want to receive coupons and other promotional mail, or if you do not want to receive promotional email offers and updates from QuikTrip, you may:

  • Opt-out of promotional email offers and updates from QuikTrip at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” hyperlink contained in our promotional emails.

Please note that even if you unsubscribe from promotional email offers and updates, QuikTrip may still contact you by email for transactional purposes. Some examples are communications regarding your order status, QuikTrip Rewards if you are a member, Consumer service inquiries, service or reminder notices, and product recalls.

Opt-out of sharing with other companies for their marketing purposes

If you do not want QuikTrip to share information about you with companies outside the QuikTrip family for their marketing purposes, you may stop such sharing by:

Opt-out of location information collection

If you do not want QuikTrip to collect real-time location information from your device, you may opt-out of such collection as follows:

  • For quiktrip.com: deny permission when asked if the website can track your physical location. To opt-out after initial permission is given, adjust your browser settings.
  • For QuikTrip’s mobile application: adjust the permission settings for your device or uninstall the application.
  • For QuikTrip’s mobile website: deny permission when asked if the website can track your physical location.
  • For QuikTrip’s in-store wi-fi service: collection of precise location information is automatic, to prevent this collection, refrain from using our in-store guest wi-fi service.

Please note that your opt-out status may be maintained by placement of an “opt-out” cookie on your device. Opt-outs for interest-based advertising (IBA)

As noted above in the “Using the information we collect” section of this notice, QuikTrip collects, combines, and shares information to personalize your QuikTrip experience across channels and across devices to target our communications and advertising. QuikTrip allow third-party companies to collect certain information when you visit our site and we use third-party advertising companies to serve ads (e.g., banners or links) on our behalf across the internet and mobile applications that are tailored to your individual interests. Website IBA

To learn more about interest-based advertising or to “opt-out” of interest-based advertising programs from participating companies:

These opt-outs limit the sharing of information from the devices and browsers for which the opt-out is in effect. To maximize your control over IBA and cross-device tracking, you may choose to exercise this opt-out choice using each browser on each device that you use to interact with us. Please note that the opt-outs you make on one or both of those websites only apply to the receipt of interest-based advertising from participating third-party companies. You may still receive other types of online advertising from participating companies, and the websites you visit may still collect information for other purposes.

Opt-outs for “do not track”

At this time, QuikTrip does not respond to browser “do not track” signals, but we do provide you the option to opt-out of interest-based advertising as described above.

 

Links to other sites

QuikTrip reminds visitors that we provide additional links to resources we think you’ll find useful. These links will lead you to sites that are not affiliated with QuikTrip and may operate under different privacy practices. Our visitors are responsible for reviewing the privacy policies for such other websites, as we have no control over information that is submitted to these companies.

 

Appeals

 

For Colorado Residents: You have the right to appeal any decision QuikTrip makes related to your personal information. To appeal a decision made by QuikTrip, within forty-five (45) days of such decision, you may:

QuikTrip will inform you of the result of your appeal and a written explanation of its decision within forty-five (45) days after receipt of the appeal. Where reasonably necessary, QuikTrip may extend such 45-day deadline by sixty (60) additional days. QuikTrip will inform you of any such extension and the reasons for the delay prior to the expiration of the 45-day deadline. You have the right to contact the Colorado Attorney General if you have concerns about the result of your appeal.

 

Children’s Privacy

QuikTrip is sensitive to the protection of children’s privacy. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, QuikTrip does not specifically target Digital Properties to children under the age of 13 and will not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Children under the age of 13 should only use QuikTrip’s Digital Properties with the permission and under the supervision of a parent or guardian, and should not attempt to provide any personal information to QuikTrip through the Digital Properties. Parents or guardians who believe their children may have submitted personal information to QuikTrip may contact QuikTrip at digitalhelp@quiktrip.com and request that such information be removed from QuikTrip’s files within 3 business days.

 

Security

QuikTrip takes commercially reasonable steps to secure customer information from unauthorized access and limit employee access to customer information. However, the Internet is not 100% secure and QuikTrip cannot promise that use of the Digital Properties will be completely secure. Customers should use caution when using the Internet.

Digital Properties customer account information is protected with a customer-selected password. QuikTrip encourages customers to use unique passwords for all online accounts, and not share passwords across accounts or with other users.

QuikTrip’s Digital Properties may link to third-party websites and applications which are not under QuikTrip’s control and for which QuikTrip is not responsible. This Privacy & Security Statement does not apply to the security practices of those third parties, and customers are encouraged to carefully review the applicable privacy policies of the third parties whose websites and applications customer chooses to visit and use.
